We Believe in Purchasing with Purpose
We founded House Babylon because we strongly believe that luxury should not be elusive or exclusive. Our mission is to simplify a confusing retail experience by offering a selective range of exceptionally crafted products, sourced ethically without the high mark-ups. Driven by our philosophy we have sourced premium Egyptian Cotton to create the softest most durable bedding sent directly to your doorstep, all at attainable prices.
Handpicked 100% Egyptian Cotton
All our bed linen is ethically-sourced and made from 100% authentic Egyptian cotton.
We only use long-staple cotton, 600 thread count is some of the highest possible. Unlike Egyptian cotton, short-staple cotton used by the majority of high-street retailers is naturally weak with many exposed split ends resulting in a weaker fibre and inferior weave that frays and piles.
We are passionate about revolutionising a traditional bedding industry, driven by high prices and misleading information.
By cutting out the middleman & unnecessary high end marketing costs, we are able to deliver high-end products right to your door, without the inflated thread counts, supply chain process or exclusive price tags.
Crisp Contemporary Comfort
Embodying the simple beauty of ancient Egypt in contemporary design created for optimum comfort. Attention is given to the quality of the materials right down to the smallest detail. Crafted to last.

Why House Babylon?
In this industry, length and strength is everything. The length of the fibre is one of the main indicators of quality. Our choice of long-staple 100% Egyptian cotton produces the strongest, longest fibres later spun to make the finest, softest weave.
Short-staple cotton used by the majority of high-street retailers is naturally weak with many exposed split ends resulting in a weaker fibre and inferior weave that frays and piles.
Single-ply yarns are strong smooth threads spun only from long-staple cotton.
Multi-ply yarns are fibres produced from low quality, short staple cotton twisted togetherto simulate a single ply yarn. These then generate thick, heavy threads with a short life expectancy.
When we say 600 thread count we mean 300 vertical threads woven into 300 horizontal threads.
Other retailers use multi-ply yarn, that has been created by twisting together three yarns of inferior quality, and then artificially inflate the thread count by triple. So when they say 600 thread count, they mean 100 vertical multi-ply threads, woven into 100 horizontal multiply threads.
Egyptian cotton is handpicked, guaranteeing further purity. The lack of mechanical picking, allows the cotton buds to stay in tact, leaving no strain on the fibres.
